Patricia Hitchcock O’Connell No Mystery to Her Fans

At the October 4th and 5th Holly-wood Collectors and Celebrities Show at the Beverly Garland Holiday Inn, Patricia Hitchcock O’Connell signed copies of her new book, Alma Hitchcock: The Woman Behind the Man, and photos, with the proceeds going to Hollywood Heritage. Ms. O’Connell is the daughter of legendary director Alfred Hitchcock and his multi-talented wife Alma, the subject of Pat’s book (along with Hitch’s favorite recipes as prepared by Alma).

Patricia had a distinguished acting career of her own being featured in her father’s films Stage Fright, and Strangers On A Train, several of his Alfred Hitchcock Presents television programs and other films and television programs. She is now actively involved with raising money for Cystic Fibrosis research.

We sold out of books at the show, but Pat will be joining us at the Barn for our January 28 show with more copies as we celebrate the 75th anniversary of sound in British films with her father’s 1929 classic Blackmail. Once again Hollywood Heritage thanks two of our most generous supporters (and they live in Florida!) Sharon and Ray Courts who produce the quarterly show (the next one is January 18-19) and Hollywood Heritage member Beverly Garland for making the show the best in the country. And a special thanks to Patricia Hitchcock O’Connell for her gracious support and continuing work to make available to the public the extraordinary careers of her parents, Alfred and Alma Hitchcock.
